Pineapple MMA is open at 139 Cecil Street, #14-01 YSY Building, Singapore 069539. After years at Selegie Road, the new space sits on the fourteenth floor in the heart of the Raffles Place precinct. Six facility zones. Singapore’s largest ring. A recovery suite that most gyms in the city do not have. Here is what is inside.
The Selegie Road gym built the coaching standard and the community that Pineapple MMA carries into Cecil Street. Six facility zones, 7,000 sqft, everything built properly. Here is what that looks like.
The Main Training Floor
The centrepiece of the training floor is a 7x7 metre ring, the largest in Singapore and bigger than standard competition size. At that scale there is genuine room to develop footwork, work the full range of striking distances, and run pad rounds without the compression that smaller rings impose on technique. Students train in conditions that more closely resemble competition than most gyms in Singapore can offer, from their first session.
Eighteen heavy bags line the floor, each one custom manufactured by Yokkao in Thailand. Yokkao supplies championship gyms worldwide, and the bags at Cecil Street are the same specification used by the coaches themselves in their own training. Fuji competition mats cover the floor. The equipment standard is consistent: the same gear used at the highest level of the sport, in a gym where the majority of members are working professionals training twice a week. The two things are not in conflict.

Pineapple MMA holds the exclusive Yokkao gym partnership in Asia outside of Thailand, the only gym on the continent with this designation. Yokkao equipment and full Pineapple MMA merchandise are available in the gym. The full class schedule covers what runs on this floor across morning, lunchtime, and evening sessions.
The Recovery Suite
One of the only gyms in Singapore with a dedicated recovery suite. A custom Brass Monkey ice bath and a traditional Finnish sauna, side by side. The pairing is deliberate: the contrast therapy protocol of alternating cold and heat produces a vascular response that accelerates the clearance of metabolic waste from muscle tissue more effectively than either modality used alone.
The Brass Monkey ice bath is custom made in the United Kingdom with precision temperature control. Brass Monkey is the same brand used by Cristiano Ronaldo and Mel B, among others. What sets it apart from most cold water immersion setups is the built-in filtration system and UV sterilisation, making it one of the cleanest ice baths available on the market. The water is filtered and bacteria are eliminated between uses rather than accumulating between sessions the way they do in most static cold water setups. The ice bath at Cecil Street runs at the temperature range that research supports for post-training recovery and inflammation reduction.

The sauna is custom-built with Canadian Red Cedar, a timber chosen for its thermal properties, natural antimicrobial qualities, and the particular smell that anyone who has used a properly constructed Finnish sauna will recognise immediately. It seats four. The recovery suite is included in membership and available after training sessions rather than as a separately bookable add-on. The full detail on what cold water immersion and contrast therapy actually do for Muay Thai training specifically is covered in the ice bath and recovery guide.
The Weights Room
A full weights room sits directly adjacent to the training floor, accessible on the same visit as the Muay Thai session. Cardiovascular equipment includes treadmills, a rowing machine, and an assault bike. The strength setup covers a squat rack, deadlift platform, three bench press stations, barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, medicine balls, and battle ropes.

Weights room access is included in every membership plan. Not as a premium add-on, not as a separate facility. It is part of what a Pineapple MMA membership covers, and it is there before class, after class, or on rest days for active recovery work. For members who combine Muay Thai with resistance training, this removes the cost and inconvenience of maintaining a second gym membership in Singapore’s CBD.
The Changing Facilities
Hotel-grade is the description on the facility page, and it is an accurate one. Multiple shower bays with hot water, free towels provided at every session, Sukin body wash and shampoo at the showers, Dyson Supersonic hair dryers, and secure lockers for work clothes and valuables. The intention is that a member can arrive for a 6.30am session with a gym bag, train, shower, and walk directly to the office without a detour home or a bag full of damp training clothes to manage.

The shower facilities are part of what makes lunchtime training genuinely practical rather than aspirational for CBD professionals. The full logistics of how a lunchtime session works, including timing, food, and what to bring, are covered in the lunchtime Muay Thai guide for Singapore’s CBD.
The Lounge
Long tables, coffee tables, and relaxed seating adjacent to the training areas. The space is professionally cleaned three times daily. This is a detail that sounds minor until you have trained at enough gyms to develop strong opinions about cleanliness standards.

The community at Pineapple MMA formed at Selegie Road through the informal time around training: conversations before sessions, people sitting around after, the relationships that develop between people who happen to be in the same place week after week. The lounge gives that time somewhere to happen properly. A gym without a space to sit tends to empty out the moment class ends, which is a different culture from one where people stay.
The Location
139 Cecil Street is in the heart of Singapore’s CBD. For professionals working in the surrounding towers, the gym is a short walk. For those at Marina Bay Financial Centre and Asia Square, the waterfront route through Marina Bay brings you here in fifteen to twenty minutes, or the MRT to Raffles Place and along Cecil Street from there. The Tanjong Pagar training guide and the Raffles Place and Marina Bay guide cover the commute from each precinct in detail.
Who Trains Here
The membership covers more ground than the CBD address might imply. Working professionals from the surrounding precincts make up a significant part of it, but the gym draws students from across Singapore and across life stages. People in their twenties starting out, professionals in their forties who came for the fitness and stayed for the skill, expats new to Singapore who found the gym before they found much else, and people who have been training Muay Thai for years and wanted a facility that matched what they were already doing.
Women make up fifty percent of the membership. This is not typical for a Muay Thai gym. The training is the same regardless of who is doing it: same classes, same coaches, same standard. There is no modified programme, no adjusted intensity, no air of novelty around female members. The fifty-fifty split is what happens when the environment is straightforwardly good rather than performatively inclusive.

The gym currently holds a 4.9-star rating on Google Reviews. The common thread in what members describe is not the equipment, though the equipment is genuinely good. It is the coaching and the culture, which were built at Selegie Road and brought intact to Cecil Street.
The Class Schedule
Morning sessions begin at 6.30am, with Core classes at 6.30am, 7.30am, and 8.30am on weekdays. Lunchtime slots run at 11am, noon, and 1pm daily. Evening classes cover the post-work window across multiple slots seven days a week. The full timetable is on the classes page.
The programme spans Muay Thai Core, Muay Thai Technique, Muay Thai Sparring, Boxing Core, and a dedicated children’s programme on weekends. Foundation classes for beginners run throughout the week. For people who have not trained before and want to understand what the early months look like, the beginner’s guide to Muay Thai in Singapore covers the progression in detail.

A trial class is $38, and includes access to the full facility: the training floor, the weights room, the recovery suite, the changing facilities. If you decide to sign up as a member on the day of your trial, the $38 is waived. No commitment required beyond showing up.
